NionWeb Discount is a Shopify app that lets merchants create quantity, order, shipping and free-gift promotions. This policy explains what the app stores and why.

What we store

  • Your shop domain and an offline access token, so the app can talk to the Shopify Admin API on your behalf.
  • Promotion settings you create. These are stored as metafields on the discounts inside your own Shopify store, not on our servers.

What we access in your store

The app requests two permissions. write_discounts lets it create and update the discounts behind your promotions. read_products lets it show product and collection names while you are building one. It requests no customer, order or payment permissions.

What we do not store

We do not store customer personal data. The discount function evaluates cart and customer eligibility inside Shopify at checkout time and writes nothing back to us. We do not store order data, payment details or contact information.

Storefront components

The optional storefront widgets (promotion message, goal bar, free-gift auto-add) read published promotion data and the shopper's current cart in the browser. They do not send data to us and set no tracking cookies. The free-gift component keeps two short-lived sessionStorage entries per offer in the shopper's own browser: one records that the shopper removed an automatically added gift, and one holds the current cart token so the app can tell that removal apart from a new cart. Both are cleared when the browsing session ends and neither is transmitted to us.

Retention and deletion

When the app is uninstalled, we delete the stored session and access token for your shop. Shopify also sends a shop/redact request 48 hours after uninstall, at which point any remaining data for your shop is removed. Customer redaction requests — customers/redact — are acknowledged; because we store no customer data, there is nothing to erase.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. There are no analytics or advertising services in the app or its storefront components.

Changes to this policy

If what the app stores ever changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
